7/21/08: ECI signs contract for 10-story office building!
We’re pleased to announce that ECI has signed a contract to construct a new office tower at the corner of 7 th and H Streets, NW, one of the busiest intersections in Washington, DC. The project includes the restoration of the existing historic structure adjacent to the Chinatown Arch, a DC icon, and the new construction of a 10-story office tower. The restored building will house two restaurants, an Eagle Bank branch and a CVS drug store. Construction will commence in late July 2008 and be complete in March of 2010. The architect is Chris Morrison of Cunningham and Quill. The Owner is Riverdale International. The Development Manager is Jim Dautenhahn of DRI Partners.

7/15/08: ECI awarded shopping center addition!
We’re pleased to announce that Urciolo Development has awarded ECI the renovation and additions to Takoma Metro Shopping Center. Construction will commence in the Fall of 2008. The architect is Garrett Pressick of Wnuk Spurlock Architecture of Washington, DC. The Owner is John Urciolo. More info to come on this exciting project.

5/8/08: Pershing Court wins NAIOP Award
Jay Eichberg and Dan Kolakoski attended the NAIOP Awards of Excellence gala on May 8, held at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. Attended by all of DC’s major developers, architects and contractors, the event highlighted the finest projects completed in 2007 in 15 categories. ECI’s Pershing Court project was awarded the Best Suburban Renovation. Bonstra Haresign Architects and the client, Broad Street Ventures, collected the award. Thanks and congratulations go out to ECI’s team of Dan Kolakoski, Gary Benoit, Sean Hanlon and Eduardo Martinez, whose hard work and dedication created a spectacular finished product, a short punch list, and a happy client.

5/1/08: Welcome Back DJ!
ECI is pleased to welcome David Joseph back to work. After a prolonged illness, DJ returned to work, strong and healthy and back to action. DJ started with ECI in 1986, making him one of our longest-tenured employees at almost 22 years. DJ’s spirit, enthusiasm and dedication to the company makes us what we are.
