Our firm has specialized in the renovation and construction of buildings throughout the Washington area for 28 years. John Eichberg founded ECI in 1974, and our organization has his personality stamped on it. We live and work by his code of conduct, we have adopted his work habits, and we all share his keen attention to detail. You will note on the abundance of repeat clients in the project listings included here. For example, one of our clients is Eagle Bank, for whom we constructed their flagship branch and corporate headquarters, in addition to four other branch banks. We also build automobile dealerships: we've built four projects for the Cherner Group, seven for the Herb Gordon Automotive Group, and four projects for Rosenthal Automotive Group. |

ECI also has a long and rich history renovating and restoring apartment buildings and creating fine multi-family residences, ranging from upscale condominium to low cost publicly assisted housing. In addition , we have an abundance of experience working with church groups, renovating and constructing sanctuaries and religious facilities. We have developed a niche building and renovating retail automobile showrooms and maintenance facilities. These types of projects often require us to build "around" occupied areas. For instance, it is not uncommon for us to build an addition on a dealership without closing the showroom, or adding a wing to a school or church with small children and elderly congregants using the existing facilities with out interruption. |

No disputes: we have only been involved in one owner arbitration in 28 years & nearly 1,400 projects. Examples of this type of relationship-building management style abound in ECI. In the construction industry it's rare that relationships survive through consecutive projects. There are many pitfalls that can tangle even the friendliest of owner/builder/architect teams in bitter dispute. We head this off with open lines of communication, excellent site supervision, and clear and easy-to-use project documentation. We partner with our clients with a spirit of cooperation that places us in their shoe. We treat owners, architects, and our subcontractors the way we want to be treated. |
